A Saritasa Case Study
Immersion Neuroscience, a company focused on revolutionizing experience measurement, faced the challenge that traditional self-reported consumer data is highly unreliable. Their own study found that self-reporting only predicted the success of TV shows with 17% accuracy. To overcome this bias and find a more accurate method, they partnered with technology vendor Saritasa to develop a new platform.
Saritasa implemented a solution involving a heart rate monitoring band and a custom software platform. They developed a Windows desktop application to aggregate and display the biometric data and created firmware for a dongle that receives signals from the bands. This system measures a user's Immersion Quotient (inQ), providing highly accurate, real-time data on engagement. The results were dramatic, with the Saritasa-built platform increasing predictive accuracy from 17% to 84% in the TV show study.
