Habib Bank Limited integrates 1,500 branches and 1,000 ATMs with Sapphire

Habib Bank Limited, a large private sector bank in Pakistan, sought to integrate its disparate technologies to drive growth and increase business agility. They faced challenges in managing interactions between systems like Internet Banking, Core Banking, and Credit Cards. Vendor Sapphire was engaged to provide Oracle OSB/SOA Suite development services for this project, which also presented challenges due to the client's tight schedule and limited prior knowledge of the technology.

Sapphire implemented a middleware solution using Oracle SOA Suite to successfully integrate the bank's systems. This provided HBL with a standards-based integration tool to connect its disparate technologies, centralized its SOA governance, and created a hot-pluggable infrastructure to maximize the value of existing IT systems. The solution enabled the bank to procure best-of-breed solutions from multiple vendors and successfully went live.
