Upserve, a Providence-based restaurant management company of about 200 employees, was scaling into new locations with an HR presence in only half of sites and needed to elevate the employee experience while automating recruitment, talent management, payroll and IT workflows. To replace a fragmented stack (Zenefits, Trello, Zendesk) and ensure integrations with Lever ATS, Paylocity, G Suite and Okta, Upserve selected Sapling’s onboarding and workflow platform.

Sapling helped Upserve migrate a complex Trello-based onboarding (up to 82 steps) into automated workflows in five weeks, automating 50+ tasks per hire, syncing candidate data from Lever, provisioning G Suite/Okta, and pushing payroll data to Paylocity while supporting new-hire L&D (including a 6-week bootcamp). The implementation delivered visibility and consistency on over 3,000 tasks per month, saved the Talent team thousands of hours, eliminated other tools, and measurably improved new-hire readiness and productivity.
