Sapiens Helps European Providers Comply with GDPR

European General Insurance Company faced the incoming EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) deadline and needed to change how it stored, handled and reported customer data. To meet the May 25, 2018 compliance date, the insurer partnered with Sapiens and its Sapiens IDIT policy administration platform to define an optimal, timely strategy for GDPR readiness.

Sapiens led a collaborative development program with its IDIT User Group and the customer to define 80 specific GDPR business requirements, design, build and test a solution, and release an enhanced IDIT core in December 2017. The deliverable included a new, configurable Consent Management module to record and manage customer consent, enabling GDPR compliance by the deadline while giving European General Insurance Company a way to re-engage customers, unlock new revenue opportunities and strengthen trust.
