SECURA Insurance Companies, a Property & Casualty insurer operating in 13 states, faced an aging reinsurance system (originally implemented in 2006) and longstanding use of Sapiens’ ReinsurancePro since 2001. Seeking to modernize technology, eliminate security risks, streamline Facultative Reinsurance reporting, upgrade integrations to downstream financial and actuarial systems, and move to a hosted managed services model, SECURA needed a more efficient, supported platform.

Sapiens upgraded SECURA to the newer ReinsurancePro platform (2017 version) and migrated processing to the cloud, automating calculation cycles and interfaces to downstream systems. The Sapiens implementation cut batch processing time by about 75%, removed mainframe constraints so month-end reinsurance processing completes in just a few hours, improved report distribution and Co-Claim processing, reduced contracts and attachment groups, and provided better support and Schedule F handling—delivering measurable operational and data-flow improvements.
