Zespri, the New Zealand kiwifruit marketer and grower cooperative, was looking to modernize finance, supply and demand planning, sales, and supply chain processes while also addressing inconsistent quality control practices and a lack of objective data. The company turned to SAP, using SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition through RISE with SAP to support its broader digital transformation.

SAP implemented a cloud-based transformation with SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition and SAP Business Technology Platform, integrated with Clarifruit’s AI-driven quality control app to automate inspections and connect data more smoothly. As a result, Zespri avoided more than NZ$1 million in infrastructure costs over six years, saved 15,000 hours in productivity, accelerated vendor payments, improved supply chain quality and efficiency by 5%, and increased inspection productivity by 25%.
