Wieland Group, a global industrial manufacturer of copper and copper alloy products, wanted to improve financial supply chain management and reduce manual work in cash application. With SAP, the company looked to automate repetitive finance tasks and build on its existing SAP S/4HANA Finance environment to increase efficiency and free up resources for higher-value work.

SAP implemented SAP Cash Application with SAP S/4HANA Finance and SAP Services and Support to automate payment-to-invoice matching using machine learning. The solution increased incoming payment automation from 61% to 83%, improved process efficiency, reduced manual post-processing and invoice research, and quickly delivered added value across three Wieland Group companies.
