University of Cincinnati's SAP S/4HANA Digital Transformation through the use of SAP S/4HANA Finance, SAP Fiori front-end server for SAP S/4HANA, and SAP Concur

The University of Cincinnati, a public higher education institution, needed to modernize its aging SAP ERP-based finance and HR systems before support ended and to improve user experience, real-time financial visibility, and manual endowment and reconciliation processes. Working with SAP, UC set out to replace outdated workflows with a more unified, data-driven platform using SAP S/4HANA Finance, SAP S/4HANA Public Sector, SAP Fiori, and related SAP solutions.

SAP implemented an integrated SAP S/4HANA environment with HCM, fund and grant management, embedded analytics, advanced cash management, and a single SAP Fiori launchpad connected to SAP SuccessFactors and SAP Concur. The results included 30% less manual effort for endowment accounting, 25% less custom code, faster reconciliations, improved productivity across finance and treasury teams, and stronger real-time reporting and self-service analytics.
