ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India faced the challenge of transforming a heavily customized, decentralized steel operations landscape into a modern, customer-centric digital platform to support growth, faster quoting, and better profitability. With SAP, the company needed to streamline enquiry-to-order processes across 30+ locations, improve visibility into pricing and mill capability, and reduce long order confirmation lead times.

SAP implemented SAP S/4HANA Cloud, private edition, along with SAP Commerce Cloud, SAP CPQ, SAP AVC, and related SAP integration and supply chain tools to unify processes and enable real-time order management. The results included order analysis and processing time dropping from up to 7 days to 1 day, up to 85% faster online delivery confirmation, 80% fewer configuration inconsistencies, and month-end closing reduced from days to hours, while also supporting 10,000+ orders and 35,000+ shipments per month.
