A SAP Case Study
thyssenkrupp Industries India, a plant engineering and machinery manufacturer, faced the challenge of migrating its SAP ERP system to the new TAXINN tax procedure to comply with India's impending goods and services tax (GST) mandate. The company needed to ensure a fast migration of over 45,000 open purchasing documents with zero business downtime and minimal impact on its 24x7 dispatch operations.
SAP addressed this challenge through its Digital Business Services and SAP Consulting organizations, which provided expert consulting for the TAXINN implementation. The solution consolidated tax codes from over 360 to just 70 and successfully migrated all purchasing documents. SAP delivered the project on time and within budget, providing thyssenkrupp with a foundation for GST compliance without any interruption to its business operations.
