Energy Harbor, a carbon-free power producer and fully integrated retail energy provider, needed to migrate a highly customized legacy SAP ECC environment inherited after a divestiture. The regulated utility had just 9 months to move to a modern SAP S/4HANA platform while minimizing downtime, maintaining compliance, and supporting 24/7 nuclear plant operations. SAP and its partners were brought in to help deliver the transformation, using RISE with SAP and SAP NS2.

SAP helped implement a secure SAP S/4HANA Cloud, private edition on NS2 and Azure Government, with automated code remediation and a dual-system landscape to support compliant offshore work. The project went live in 7 months, under budget, with zero business disruption and a cutover of less than 72 hours. SAP and the team also reduced custom code from 20,000 to 10,000, retired 18 legacy SAP servers, and migrated 2,000 users, improving agility and lowering TCO.
