Taking a quantum leap into the digital future to explore sustainable chemical solutions

Kemira Oyj, a global chemicals company based in Helsinki, needed to replace aging hardware and accelerate its digital transformation while supporting its sustainability goals and future growth. SAP helped Kemira launch its LEAP program, which included moving from SAP ERP to a cloud-based SAP S/4HANA environment, modernizing data warehousing and analytics, and migrating more than 360 on-premise interfaces to the cloud.

SAP implemented SAP S/4HANA on Microsoft Azure, SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud for planning, and SAP Integration Suite to create a connected, future-ready digital foundation. The results included a 15-month, near-zero-downtime transformation across 400 plants in 37 countries, 100% of factories and operations moved to the cloud without interruption, and more than 50% of old master data and organizational structures harmonized or removed.
