CMPC, a Chile-based paper and forest products manufacturer, faced major challenges tracing raw materials and validating thousands of invoices and derived products to meet the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). The company needed a more scalable, transparent way to manage compliance and product-origin checks, and it used SAP BTP as part of the solution.

SAP, with Globant’s support, implemented a Clean Core wood traceability platform on SAP BTP using integration, document management, and AI-driven Document Information Extraction. The solution consolidated data from multiple sources into a single traceability portal, reduced manual processing and validation time by up to 12 days, and enabled 100% adoption of the Wood Traceability Platform for invoice validation by internal users, with processes that once took weeks now completed in minutes.
