Straumann Group, the global dental care leader, was transitioning from on-premise SAP HCM to SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and found that its new HR core no longer supported workforce planning. This created a gap in headcount and FTE planning, personnel cost planning, and position approval workflows, while also making it harder for HR and Finance to stay aligned.
SAP, together with NDC’s workforce planning solution, implemented SAP Analytics Cloud as the main system for workforce planning and approvals, integrated with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central through SAP Cloud Integration. The new platform standardized and digitized global processes, reduced the reoccupation process from 7 steps to 1, and improved forecast accuracy and cost control, including nearly 2x better headcount forecast precision and a significant improvement in personnel expense forecast accuracy.
