Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) needed a faster way to investigate sales order commitment changes in its supply chain. The company was relying on up to 14 manual checks per request to understand date and quantity changes, making root-cause analysis slow and labor-intensive. SAP supported the effort through SAP S/4HANA and SAP Business Technology Platform.

AMD implemented the GenAI Supply Chain Troubleshooter on SAP BTP, integrated with SAP S/4HANA and powered by a conversational AI interface. With SAP, the solution is expected to cut manual order processing effort by 90%, analyze more than 10,400 orders per year, and save about 3,120 hours of productivity annually, while reducing request handling from about 20 minutes to roughly 2 minutes per case.
