A SAP Case Study
Shengmu, China’s largest organic milk producer, wanted to build an intelligent ERP foundation to support its integrated grass-planting, cow-breeding, and milk-processing value chain in Mongolia’s Ulan Buh desert. The company faced inconsistent master data, siloed finance and business processes, limited intercompany visibility, and high operating costs as it worked to scale production and refine supply chain operations with SAP S/4HANA.
SAP, implemented with QZing Technology (Beijing) Co. Ltd., helped Shengmu standardize data and digitalize operations across its ranch network. The solution unified material, capital, and information flows, enabled automatic milk and cattle cost calculations, and introduced 115 standard operating procedures across 33 intelligent ranches; it also cut the monthly settlement process by 3 days and improved transparency, efficiency, and control across the business.
