A SAP Case Study
ENGIE, the French multinational utility company, needed to modernize its 20-year-old SAP IS-Utilities/ECC billing and customer care environment for its B2B Energy & Collectivities business. The company faced complex collective billing processes, slow maintenance and enhancements, limited flexibility, and a poor user experience, so it turned to SAP as part of an S/4HANA migration, using the Natuvion DCS migration tool.
SAP and TCS implemented a selective-data carve-out into a new SAP S/4HANA Utilities system, adding Fiori, Convergent Invoicing, FICA, and BRF+ to streamline operations and improve usability. The result was more than 120% better batch and online transactional response time, a 70% reduction in data footprint from 14 TB to 2.5 TB, and improved user satisfaction, efficiency, and time to market without disrupting business operations.
