Scotiabank Transforms Recruiting Replacing Resumes with Digital Behavioral Assessments

Scotiabank, the Canadian multinational banking and financial services company, wanted to make its campus recruiting process fairer, more objective, and more data-driven. Working with SAP and Plum, Scotiabank sought a résumé-less hiring approach that would help evaluate candidates on potential, behavioral skills, and fit rather than only education and prior experience.

SAP and Plum implemented behavioral assessments through Plum, integrated with SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting, to provide talent profiles, role match scores, and more credible candidate data. The results were strong: the candidate experience improved, campus hire retention nearly doubled, women now make up over 50% of campus hires, and visible minorities account for about 60% of campus hiring intake.
