A SAP Case Study
RTL Group, the Luxembourg-based mass media company, needed a simpler way for its teams to create sales orders because standard SAP sales apps were too complex, crowded with fields and tabs, and required too much training. For its roughly 300 users handling high volumes of orders, RTL Group wanted a more intuitive, error-resistant process built on SAP.
SAP, working with RTL Group on the SMINT (Smart Invoice Tool) solution developed in SAP Business Application Studio, delivered a single-screen, SAP Fiori-based interface for sales order, debit memo, and credit memo entry. The result was about a 60% reduction in sales order creation time, a 50% reduction in entry errors, and roughly a 2x productivity improvement for end users, with the solution now live since January 2024.
