Innospec, a global specialty chemicals company, was managing operations across multiple ERP systems, which created inconsistent processes, data definitions, and cost/revenue metrics. That made reporting and forecasting slow and manual, and SAP was selected to help simplify operations and support future growth through a more unified, cloud-based ERP foundation using RISE with SAP and related solutions.

SAP implemented a hybrid cloud landscape built around SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Private Edition, along with SAP IBP, SAP Cloud for Customer, SAP Global Trade Services, SAP Master Data Governance, and SAP Enable Now. The result was standardized processes, consolidated legal entities, smoother year-end close, and reduced manual effort, including automated forecasting and invoice/payment matching; in the first phase, Innospec consolidated 11 VAT registration zones into 8 legal entities and 10 branches, with the rollout expected to deliver further measurable efficiency gains as more waves go live.
