A SAP Case Study
Nokia, a global telecommunications leader, faced major order-processing challenges after multiple mergers left it with fragmented ERPs and order-preparation tools. The company was spending significant manual effort validating and converting customer purchase orders into sales orders, which caused inconsistencies, delays, higher error rates, and scalability issues. SAP provided the SAP Commerce Cloud and SAP BTP platform to help Nokia centralize and automate its order orchestration.
SAP implemented a global, centralized Order Orchestration platform that integrates with SAP S/4HANA, ECC, SAP MDG, CPQ, and other systems to validate purchase orders and create sales orders automatically. The solution reduced manual work, improved data consistency, and accelerated fulfillment, delivering faster, error-free processing and better customer satisfaction. Nokia’s live proof of concept, deployed in the Nordics with 100+ end users, now supports higher order volumes and is being scaled to the US in 2025.
