Reimaging Supply Chain Visibility to Boost Supplier Collaboration and Performance

Honeywell, the multinational high-tech and manufacturing company, needed a better way to manage a complex global supply chain across 80+ countries. Facing inflation, supply shortages, limited visibility, and weak collaboration between 1,000+ buyers/planners and 16,000+ suppliers, Honeywell looked to SAP and its SAP Business Network Supply Chain Collaboration solution to create a single portal for procurement, logistics, invoicing, and supplier quality.

SAP implemented the “One Honeywell Portal” on SAP Business Network, enabling supplier onboarding, real-time visibility, automated order and invoice processing, and tighter compliance. The results included 6,400+ suppliers onboarded, $6.6 billion in spend through the system, 96% first-pass invoice match, 94% on-time payments, 100% of POs integrated, and 6.52 million paper pieces saved per year; Honeywell also reported supplier delivery performance improving from 83% to 95%.
