Case Study: Duracell achieves reduced stock variability and $50,000 annual savings with SAP and MaintainX

A SAP Case Study

Preview of the Duracell Case Study

Reducing stock variability and increasing cost savings by synchronizing parts inventory data

Duracell, the global battery company, was looking to improve maintenance efficiency and reduce stock variability while making it easier for frontline teams to access the latest inventory, asset, and work order data in SAP. To address these challenges, Duracell used SAP alongside MaintainX, a mobile maintenance and asset management solution, to better record maintenance work and track parts in stock.

SAP and MaintainX were integrated so technicians could access accurate parts information instantly from mobile devices in the field, while finance teams gained more reliable synchronized inventory data. The result was improved data accuracy, streamlined maintenance processes, and an estimated annual savings of $50,000 in parts inventory per site, with tracking across more than 1,000 monthly work orders and access to over 8,000 part SKUs.
