PTT Global Chemical Streamlining procurement operations while supporting ESG initiatives

PTT Global Chemical, a Thailand-based chemicals company, wanted to digitalize its procurement operations to replace complex, manual, paper-based processes and reduce approval and reporting errors. The company also aimed to support its ESG and sustainability goals by improving how it sourced products and managed supplier interactions. To do this, PTT Global Chemical turned to SAP and SAP Ariba solutions, including SAP Ariba Sourcing, SAP Ariba Contracts, SAP Ariba Buying, and SAP Preferred Success.

SAP implemented cloud-based SAP Ariba tools to automate workflows, centralize procurement, and improve transparency across thousands of suppliers. As a result, PTT Global Chemical achieved a 50% reduction in procure-to-pay cycle time for critical transactions, more than 10% year-on-year direct and indirect savings, a 90% increase in online bidding, and over 113,000 annual transactions handled in SAP Ariba.
