Prysmian Helping Drive Toward Net-Zero Emissions Through Continuous Process Improvement

Prysmian Group, the Italian cable manufacturer, needed to harmonize business processes and data across acquired companies and operations in many countries while supporting its push toward net-zero emissions. In partnership with SAP, Prysmian chose SAP S/4HANA and SAP Fiori to modernize its ERP landscape and create a common business language across its global organization.

SAP implemented a “big bang” SAP S/4HANA rollout across 29 countries, 23 languages, 78 plants, 92 legal entities, and more than 6,000 users in just one year, with less than 48 hours of downtime. The result was real-time data access, better analytics and user experience, over 40% business synergy from acquisitions, and a 70%–80% increase in process speed, while 78 plants now run on a single ERP system with unified processes.
