A SAP Case Study
YPF, a major oil and gas company, needed an integrated platform to unify communication, collaboration tools, and training to better engage and develop its 21,000 employees. Their challenge was to provide a multichannel solution for knowledge management, company news, and professional development that could be customized for each user's role and region.
SAP implemented the SAP Jam collaboration platform, which was integrated with the company's existing SAP SuccessFactors solutions. The solution, called "Y-NET," blended the corporate intranet with social networking. The results included faster professional development, better dissemination of knowledge, and a significant increase in collaboration, evidenced by 12,700 connected users and a month-over-month doubling of collaborative contributions.
