A SAP Case Study
Thalia Bücher GmbH, the German book retail leader, needed a way to replace manually compiled, inconsistent data from many systems with timely insights for its expanding business across stores, e-commerce, and apps. Working with SAP, Thalia sought a self-service, mobile-friendly way to give C-level, sales, and regional managers real-time sales and inventory visibility without relying on IT or static PDF reports.
SAP implemented a digital sales analytics dashboard using SAP BW/4HANA and SAP Analytics Cloud, creating a single point of truth and near real-time reporting for 500 stores and 5 online shops. The result was 100% sales team usage of the self-service dashboard, 5x faster proactive decision-making, 80% lower data search costs, and the elimination of manual report handling, with users now able to act on sales and inventory data immediately.
