PowerCo Pioneering the Future of Battery Cell Production with Sustainability and Standardization

PowerCo SE, the Volkswagen Group’s battery cell business, was scaling rapidly and needed to standardize HR and business processes across its growing operations. To support its expansion and best-practice-based ramp-up, PowerCo turned to SAP SuccessFactors solutions and SAP Services and Support to help create a consistent, cloud-based people process foundation.

SAP implemented SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, Recruiting, Onboarding, Performance & Goals, Time Tracking, and Learning, with SAP Enterprise Support providing functional expertise. As a result, PowerCo went live in three countries in a short time, simplified and standardized its HR processes, improved the employee experience, and organized people data more effectively—while also reducing database size by 15% and initiating 1,231 workflows in the first month.
