A SAP Case Study
Pedernales Electric Cooperative (PEC) was facing a significant workforce challenge as a large number of its employees, hired during a period of rapid expansion 40 years prior, were nearing retirement. The utility cooperative needed to quickly attract and hire a new generation of talent while also enhancing its overall talent management for current staff using outdated and disparate systems. To address this, PEC turned to vendor SAP and implemented the SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central solution as the core of its HR transformation.
With the help of partner Aasonn, SAP expanded the implementation to include a suite of SAP SuccessFactors Talent solutions covering recruiting, performance, goals, compensation, and learning. This new integrated system provided managers with real-time workforce visibility and dramatically accelerated recruiting processes, enabling PEC to hire new staff in just two weeks instead of months. The solution also enhanced the efficiency of compensation planning and improved the ability to track employee performance and development.
