Ocean Network Express Unifying Disparate Business Processes into a Single Intelligent Platform

Ocean Network Express, a global container shipping company formed from a merger of three Japanese shipping lines, needed to unify disparate business processes across its new organization. The company turned to SAP and SAP Signavio solutions to create a single source of truth, improve process management, and bring greater alignment across more than 20 countries.

SAP implemented SAP Signavio Process Manager, SAP Signavio Process Collaboration Hub, and SAP Signavio Process Governance to support collaborative process modeling, governance, and workflow improvement. The result was 450 unique business processes created and published in nine months, a 97% reduction in time and effort for managing outstanding demurrage in Latin America, and additional savings from faster invoice, cut-off, and booking management processes.
