A SAP Case Study
NTT DATA, a global IT services provider with 75,000 employees, faced the challenge of unifying its operations and corporate culture after rapid growth through acquisitions. The company, which has 80% of Fortune 100 companies as clients, needed to establish a consistent, performance-based culture and engage its widespread workforce with clearly defined objectives. To achieve this, the customer chose to implement the SuccessFactors platform from vendor SAP.
SAP provided a solution using its SuccessFactors software, including Employee Central, Performance & Goals, and Compensation modules. The implementation for 20,000 employees in North America and India was completed rapidly, with the core platform deployed in just five months. The results included wide user adoption of the single, user-friendly platform called "Navigator," a strong shift in employee engagement, and a transparent pay-for-performance culture. The solution also freed HR to become strategic partners, with one executive noting they now spend 10% of their time finding data instead of 90%.
