NamPower, Namibia’s national power utility, wanted to improve operational efficiency, data quality, analytics, and customer experience as it pursued digital transformation in a competitive energy sector. To do that, NamPower turned to SAP and its SAP S/4HANA Utilities solution, along with SAP Fiori apps, to modernize its business suite and standardize core processes.
SAP implemented an intelligent platform that unified finance, procurement, logistics, asset management, billing, and customer management. The result was faster and more efficient operations, including an eight-times-faster database copy process, a 66.6% reduction in billing cycle time, a 33.3% smaller database, 9.5x faster bill printing, and 1.9x faster payroll processing, while also improving analytics, user experience, and employee productivity.
