A SAP Case Study
Lundin Mining, a Canada-based global producer of copper, zinc, gold, and nickel, was managing a complex environment created by acquisitions, with multiple ERP systems, many point solutions, duplicate data, and manual processes. To support growth, lower costs, and improve real-time visibility across its worldwide operations, Lundin Mining turned to SAP, using RISE with SAP S/4HANA Cloud, private edition alongside SAP Ariba solutions and SAP Enterprise Asset Management.
SAP implemented a single global business foundation that connected finance, supply chain, procurement, and asset management, replacing siloed workflows with automated processes and a trusted source of data. The expected impact includes a 0.5% lift in machine availability, a 10% reduction in legacy ERP system costs, a 5% reduction in MRO inventory, a 1% reduction in maintenance costs, and a 1.6% reduction in addressable sourcing and buying spend.
