Lundin Gold Improving Inventory Management in the Mountains of Ecuador

Lundin Gold, a Canadian mining company operating the Fruta del Norte gold mine in Ecuador, needed a better way to manage inventory across multiple warehouse locations in a remote mountain site with unreliable internet access. Its existing inventory management approach could not support offline mobility, making warehouse operations difficult. Lundin Gold used SAP ERP Central Component, with Illumiti and 2BM Software helping address the challenge.

SAP, together with Illumiti and 2BM Software, implemented 2BM Mobile Warehouse to deliver an offline-enabled mobile inventory solution that integrated seamlessly with SAP ERP. The result was improved inventory visibility and accuracy, optimized workflows, and QR code capture for additional data. The solution also provided a future-ready platform that can adapt to changing needs at Fruta del Norte.
