A SAP Case Study
LIXIL Corporation, a Japanese manufacturer of housing and water technology products, faced a long-standing challenge of integrating accounting systems across the five companies merged into one group. To standardize accounting operations, improve IFRS response, and strengthen group management, LIXIL worked with SAP using SAP S/4HANA and SAP S/4HANA for central finance.
SAP helped LIXIL build an integrated accounting foundation and centralize account books across business units, while also supporting the move to SAP S/4HANA with SAP MaxAttention. As a result, accounting work at 17 water technology factories was reduced, inventory data became centrally managed and more useful, and cost management shifted from monthly to daily and even real-time basis, enabling faster, data-driven cost improvement.
