Li Ning, a leading Chinese sports apparel retailer, faced a challenge with low inventory turnover and out-of-stock issues due to a lack of integration between its online store and over 6,100 physical retail locations. To unify its sales channels and adapt to changing consumer behavior, the company turned to vendor SAP and implemented the SAP Hybris B2C Commerce suite.
With SAP's solution and support from partner attune Consulting, Li Ning integrated online and offline operations, enabling efficient order fulfillment directly from stores and warehouses. This provided customers with new capabilities like placing orders via in-store tablets and receiving SMS tracking notifications. The results for Li Ning included boosted sales volume, higher inventory turnover, and a stable platform for future growth, with the initial rollout to a number of stores achieved in just four months.
