A SAP Case Study
Läpple Automotive, a German automotive supplier specializing in sheet-metal-part forming and car body assembly for premium vehicles, needed to replace an expiring third-party ERP system and address growing OEM and industry requirements. The company turned to SAP, using a discovery workshop for SAP S/4HANA and SAP Services and Support to evaluate its ERP options and plan for future business needs.
SAP delivered a detailed assessment of the current environment and recommended a tailored target architecture for transformation. The project also produced a training concept for key users and stream leads, and Läpple Automotive chose SAP S/4HANA as a foundation for a future IT backbone. The outcome included plans for a groupwide rollout focused on harmonized, standardized, automated, and more efficient processes, with an estimated new implementation timeline of 15 months.
