KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA, a global seed producer with operations in more than 70 countries, needed better visibility into its complex business and IT landscape as it transitioned from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA Cloud. The company faced challenges such as no single source of truth for applications, limited documentation of future-state processes, and poor transparency across SAP and non-SAP integration points. Using SAP Signavio Process Transformation Suite together with LeanIX Enterprise Architecture Management, KWS gained a clear view of processes, applications, interfaces, and other IT components across its current and target architecture. SAP helped KWS make faster, better-informed planning decisions, improve process optimization, and create a common language for S/4HANA discussions. The impact included visibility across 352 applications, 150 connected business capabilities, and 5,493 process-step-to-application links.
