ITZBund A Universal AI Platform for the German Federal Government

ITZBund, the German Federal Centre for Information Technology and central IT service provider for the German government, needed to unify the IT landscape across federal authorities and make artificial intelligence available as a key technology for public agencies. To support this goal, ITZBund worked with SAP to build a scalable AI platform based on SAP HANA and SAP Data Intelligence.

SAP helped ITZBund create a modular, cloud-style platform in just a few months, enabling the Federal Central Tax Office to use AI for anomaly detection and laying the foundation for use cases like automatic fraud detection. The result was a flexible platform-as-a-service for federal agencies that accelerates new AI use cases, supports digital transformation, and reduces the burden on public administration.
