Kemira Oyj, a Finland-based chemicals company, needed to modernize an outdated BI landscape and replace fragmented, Excel-heavy reporting and planning processes. Working with SAP, Kemira moved to a future-proof platform using SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Datasphere to support its new SAP S/4HANA environment and improve global finance, analytics, and planning.

SAP implemented an integrated data architecture that consolidated SAP and non-SAP sources into SAP Datasphere, with SAP Analytics Cloud providing reporting and planning for more than 1,000 users. The result was a harmonized BI landscape, more reliable planning data, and six times more frequent data updates, with measurable gains including a 50% boost in planning data reliability and a successful big-bang go-live that set Kemira on a cloud-based, future-ready path.
