A SAP Case Study
Infineon Technologies AG, a global semiconductor leader, was facing a growing volume of invoice payment status inquiries from suppliers and internal teams. The manual email-based process for checking and responding to these requests was time-consuming, especially as business expanded and stakeholders needed secure, real-time access to invoice information. SAP was selected to help address this challenge, using SAP BTP and SAP S/4HANA as the core technology foundation.
SAP implemented an Invoice Payment Status Fiori app as a self-service solution that lets authorized users check invoice status in real time, including bulk uploads for large invoice sets. The result was a reduction in incoming emails, faster access to information, and more time for teams to focus on higher-value work. Since go-live, the app has recorded 6,000 accesses and provides around 2,000 invoice statuses per month, with 11 external stakeholders actively using it.
