Implementing automation for the Joint Venture Takings reconciliation process in SAP S/4HANA with a customized extensibility approach

Vets4Pets UK Limited, one of the UK’s largest veterinary groups, was struggling with a spreadsheet-based Joint Venture takings reconciliation process that required heavy manual effort, created data management complexity, and took 8–10 hours each week. The company wanted a scalable way to move data into SAP S/4HANA Cloud and improve accuracy, compliance, and efficiency for its revenue accounting and reconciliation process using SAP.

SAP implemented SAP Integration Suite on SAP Business Technology Platform with SAP S/4HANA Cloud and custom Fiori apps to automate the takings process end to end. The new solution transformed and uploaded spreadsheet data into SAP custom tables, streamlined JV postings, and cut the process from about 8 hours to just 8 minutes, reducing manual business involvement by 98% and supporting weekly volumes of around 200K records.
