A SAP Case Study
The Hungarian State Treasury, Hungary’s central budget agency, needed a modern, integrated financial management system to improve budget control, transparency, and decision-making across its €80 billion annual budget. Working with SAP, it sought to replace cumbersome, siloed back-office processes and improve data integration, compliance, and flexibility for legislative change using SAP S/4HANA and SAP Services and Support.
SAP implemented SAP S/4HANA with support from SAP Services and Support and partner 4iG, creating a single integrated information base for appropriations, payments, and reporting. The result was real-time reporting on 40,000 to 50,000 transactions per day, 100% auditability, faster budget approval in under one day, and a 25% reduction in central appropriations accounting workload.
