A SAP Case Study
Southern California Edison, a major U.S. utility, needed to replace its aging SAP HCM on-premises environment before end of life, while also reducing manual HR work, lowering maintenance costs, and improving reporting and self-service for its 14,000+ employees. SAP SuccessFactors and related SAP cloud tools were chosen to support the HR re-platform journey.
SAP implemented a cloud-based HR transformation using SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, recruiting, onboarding, compensation, SAP BTP, and SAP Analytics Cloud. The result was a single, integrated HR platform that improved employee and manager self-service, modernized analytics, and streamlined processes, delivering 48.6% program cost savings over five years and 19.2% lower HR/IT application portfolio costs over five years.
