A SAP Case Study
WITTENSTEIN, an industrial manufacturer of customized mechatronic drive products, faced a new European Chemicals Agency requirement to submit hazardous-substance compliance data directly to the SCIP database. Because the data was scattered across multiple systems, the company needed a faster, more automated way to collect and unify compliance information. SAP Product and REACH Compliance, along with SAP Services and Support, was chosen to meet this challenge.
SAP implemented the solution quickly and helped WITTENSTEIN automate the integration of compliance data into a single repository for direct SCIP submission. The result was a successful four-month implementation and the automatic submission of 6,500 materials to the database, giving WITTENSTEIN a future-ready compliance process.
