A SAP Case Study
toom, a leading German DIY retailer with more than 300 stores, was modernizing its application landscape around SAP S/4HANA Retail and needed an integration approach that could scale across SAP and third-party systems. Using SAP Integration Solution Advisory Methodology and SAP Integration Suite, toom aimed to replace a costly, complex legacy setup with a hybrid integration architecture that would better support its interconnected retail strategy.
SAP helped toom define an enterprise integration strategy, establish governance guidelines, and implement a flexible architecture for cloud, on-premise, and third-party connections. The results included a 2x faster implementation of integration scenarios, 50% cost reduction by retiring legacy integration technology, 40% faster analysis and design time for new interfaces, and a target of 95% of integrations built with a standard solution template.
