Deutscher Skiverband, the German Ski Association, needed a reliable way to centralize ticketing and event data for major skiing events, including the 2023 Biathlon World Championship in Oberhof. Its previous software could not manage large volumes of attendee, ticketing, and logistics information or support real-time event needs. SAP Event Ticketing and SAP Business One were part of the solution.

SAP implemented a common ticketing platform with centralized data management, access control, and support for event operations through SNEC and UNIORG. The result was a more accessible ticketing platform, stronger network infrastructure, and better data visibility for decision-making. The case study also notes that the solution helped sell more than 150,000 tickets and supported a successful 9-day event.
