A SAP Case Study
The Canton of Zurich, the largest canton in Switzerland, wanted to modernize its finance approval processes, which were still based on nonstandardized Word templates, multiple tools, and manual checks. This made it hard to track project finances quickly and accurately, while also creating delays, errors, and inefficiencies. SAP BTP was selected to support the digitalization effort, along with SAP Build Process Automation and SAP Build Work Zone.
SAP helped the Canton of Zurich build a standardized, system-based workflow that automated and simplified fund-release requests, approvals, tracking, and analysis. The result was greater transparency, compliance, agility, and operational excellence, with high user satisfaction during testing. The project also delivered 100% of project streams on time and within budget, and combined 9 processes into one comprehensive solution.
