How the Canton of Aargau successfully migrated its legacy SAP solution landscapes to the private edition of SAP S/4HANA Cloud, hosted on Microsoft Azure
The Canton of Aargau, a regional government in Switzerland, needed support migrating its legacy SAP ERP landscape to SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition while minimizing disruption to users and production systems. It turned to SAP Services and Support to better understand the requirements for a “lift and shift” cloud migration and to prepare for future cloud-based SAP products.
SAP helped orchestrate the migration of three SAP ERP system landscapes to SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition on Microsoft Azure. The project was completed in six months without production complications, enabling the Canton of Aargau to adopt SAP Business Technology Platform for additional integrations and to prepare for advanced cloud capabilities such as AI and modern business processes.
