How Siemens LDA worked with SAP Services and Support to make their SAP S/4HANA Cloud implementation a success

Siemens LDA, part of Siemens AG and a provider of motors, drives, generators, and related services, needed to move from a complex, fragmented ERP environment across multiple countries to a cloud-based landscape. The company also had to complete the transition in under a year because of a potential sale, making speed and simplicity critical. SAP helped Siemens LDA modernize its enterprise systems with SAP S/4HANA Cloud, private edition and SAP Services and Support.

SAP successfully planned and launched the migration for pilot countries including the United Kingdom and Norway, integrating the new platform with Siemens AG’s systems. The result was a scalable cloud solution that reduced on-premise infrastructure burden and cost, improved enterprise management in a complex IT environment, and strengthened Siemens LDA’s value ahead of a potential sale. The implementation was completed in a 9-month greenfield project for the two pilot countries, with 48 countries planning to adopt SAP S/4HANA Cloud, private edition.
